Motorcyclist sues over Wacker Drive pothole
By Admin on December 14, 2009
A motorcyclist is suing the city of Chicago, claiming a pothole on Lower Wacker Drive caused him to crash.
Myron Reed says he was in the left hand lane, heading east, on Aug. 30 when his motorcycle hit “an area of the roadway that had been cut out and was depressed.” Reed said he lost control and crashed his cycle. His lawsuit contends that the city created a dangerous condition and
failed to warned drivers about it. He’s asking for more than $50,000.
